Agtec Geocell Ground Grid Paver

The Permathene Geocell is an innovative erosion and sediment control product that provides costeffective solutions for around stabilisation, erosion control and earth retention.

Permathene Geocell is a lightweight and fexible cellular structure made of polyethylene strips which areultrasonically bonded together to form an extremely strong confguration, Permathene Geocell Systemcan be flled with a wide range of material: aggregate, concrete, sand, soil, etc.

Product Details

Introduction

Geocell is a honeycombed shape three dimentional cellular structure. Soil, crushedstone, aggregates, debris. etc. can be fill in the confined cell.Geocell term was came fom word 'Geo’ and another is 'Cell’, Geo means earth orsoil and cell means cellular shape. Geocell also known as Geoweb.

Geocells are available in different types and specifications for different types ofsoiland problems. Geocells are classified in two types.1. Perforated geocell 2. Non perforated geocell

Perforated geocell

Uniform holes are provided in cell walls to distribute stress and reduce thedeformation. Integrity of geocell depends on the strength of perforated strip andweld.

Non-Perforated geocell

Thick and smooth wall provided in non-perforated geocell. It is a polymer sheetstructure with rivet link or ultrasonic welding.

Slope Protection Applications:Most slope protection applications utilise 10 cm (4 in) depth, standard cell sections, However, this is afunction of (1) the potential minimum anale of repose (fction anale) of the infll material, (2) the slopeinclination, (3) the slope length of the individual cell, (4) the depth of the cell, and (5) the characteristicsof the infll material.eCell size is governed by slope geometry and desian cover thickness1Steen slopes must have alobal stability or be internally reinforced before application of the geocelsystem, The sinale-layer geocell system has been used on slopes as steep as 75 degreesAnchor methods used to secure the geocell system to a slope include wood stakes, metal j-pins, and other earth/ tension anchors.Generally sections are connected to prevent relative movement of sections during the infillingoperation using rivets or heavy-duty metal staples applied with a pneumatic stapler. A variety ofrivets/staples are available to meet site environmental conditions.

Advantages of the Perforated Cells:In load support applications, a high degree of frictional interaction is developed between theaggregate infll and the cell wall that directly increases the stifness of the system by reducing theability of a shear plane developing between the infll and the cell wall.In all application areas, the perforations allow water to move from cell to cell reducing undesirable cellponding and providing lateral drainage. In vegetated slope and channel protection systems, roots can grow through the perforationsincreasing the stability of the vegetated cover when subjected to gravitational and hydro dynamic forces.
